Riisfort ESG report 2023-2024 - Flipbook - Side 15
Transportation
Transportation accounts for 83% of the carbon emissions in our Scope 1 and 2 emissions,
making it a key area where we have direct opportunities to reduce our emissions. With this
in mind, the 2023/2024 reporting year has been largely dedicated to measures and projects
which aim to optimise and streamline our transport solutions.

fuel optimisation technology and the training of drivers in lower-emission driving.
In addition, we have also made a plan to integrate more energy-efficient vehicles into our
fleet. These measures are not only part of our strategy to reduce our environmental impact,
but they are also a way to future-proof our transportation processes and improve operational
efficiency.

efforts, we have installed a programme in all of our trucks –
Volvo Connect – which awards points for driver performance
in terms of fuel-efficient driving. For us, it is an obvious
win if we can save money on fuel while also sparing the
environment from unnecessary emissions at the same time.
more fuel-efficient driving, but it also creates a culture of
continuous improvement and accountability among drivers.
By adding this competitive aspect, we can promote a healthy

savings and a reduced environmental impact.
With Volvo Connect, all of our drivers can see their fuel
consumption and compete internally to achieve the lowest
consumption. This competitive element not only incentivises
