Take-a-walk Thursdays
Once more this spring, we introduced an initiative called
Take-a-walk Thursdays, which gives employees the option to
take an extra 20-minute break to take a walk. The aim of this
is both to promote physical activity and to strengthen the
sense of community across departments. In order to create
new relationships, we encourage employees to find walking
buddies they don't normally work closely with.
The result has been positive. The informal conversations and
brisk walks have not only improved mental wellbeing, but
they have also strengthened the sense of community and
unity among our employees.
Continuous training
We consider training to be an important part of our efforts
to retain and develop talented employees. Our employees
are the engine room of the company and we highly prioritise
their professional and personal development in order to
ensure they always have the skills they require to meet
customer needs and live up to industry demands.
In the past year, each employee has received an average of
10 hours of training – and both men and women have had
equal access to training. The training covers a wide range of
areas, from product knowledge and technical know-how to
customer-oriented courses and personal development. We
work closely with our employees to identify their individual
needs and make sure the courses and training we offer are
relevant to their roles and career paths.
At Riisfort, we see training as an investment in the future
of both the company and its employees. We firmly believe
that by continuously developing our teams, we will not only
create a better workplace, but also a stronger foundation
to meet the future challenges of the kitchen, furniture and
fixtures industry.
Small actions with big impact
We believe that even small actions can make a big
difference to both health and wellbeing. Our activities not
only contribute to the physical and mental well-being of
our employees, but also to a shared awareness of what
constitutes good and healthy actions.
These initiatives show that health, wellbeing and
responsibility go hand in hand. We want to continue to
implement new initiatives that both strengthen our sense
of community and inspire our employees to take small steps
towards a healthier and better everyday lifestyle.
