Code of Conduct
We have expanded both our own Code of Conduct and
our Supplier Code of Conduct to include new points on
environmental responsibility.
"Riisfort suppliers are expected to reduce their carbon
footprint by minimising energy consumption and switching
to renewable energy sources. Riisfort will prioritise
collaboration with suppliers who actively work to reduce
their carbon emissions and who are transparent about their
energy sources."
In our own Code of Conduct, we have introduced the
following formulations:
"We undertake to reducing our climate footprint through
initiatives that minimise energy consumption and promote
the transition to renewable energy sources. Riisfort
follows the precautionary principle in how we address
environmental challenges, and works actively to minimise
our environmental impact and to support technological
advances that benefit the environment."
These additions to our Code of Conduct build on existing
requirements relating to human rights, the combating of
forced and child labour and anti-corruption. By including the
environment as a central part of our guidelines, we focus on
our shared responsibility to reduce environmental impact –
both internally at Riisfort and through our collaboration with
suppliers.
In our Supplier Code of Conduct, we have introduced clear
requirements that support our ambitions:
Responsible Forestry
We are committed to promoting responsible forestry and
we are proud of the positive development we have achieved
over the past year. Our share of certified wood sourcing has
increased from 71.4% to 82%, reflecting our ongoing efforts
to ensure that our wood materials originate from responsible
sources.
We are both PEFC and FSC® certified and these certifications
support our ambition to promote socially, environmentally
and economically responsible forestry.

Our FSC certification has the registration code PBNCOC-013081 / license code FSC®C008042 and our PEFC
certification has the registration code PBN-PEFCCOC-013081.
As a member of the Danish Timber Trade Federation, we
commit to following their Code of Conduct and we are
actively working towards achieving the goal of 95% of the
federation’s total wood sourcing being certified before by the
end of 2025.
Through these initiatives, we support a responsible approach
to forestry that not only protects forest resources, but also
ensures that demands are placed on working conditions,
biodiversity and climate considerations. By increasing
the proportion of certified wood in our range, we directly
contribute to a more responsible form of production that
benefits both the environment and the people who work in
forestry.
