Riisfort ESG report 2023-2024 - Flipbook - Side 9
Key stakeholders
When working with accountability, we consider that it is essential to understand both how we impact our environment and
also how our key stakeholders impact us. For Riisfort, our customers, employees and suppliers are our most important partners
– they are all groups we value highly. Our focus is to engage them in a way that creates value for all parties. Here is some insight
into how we work closely with these key stakeholders:
Customers
Employees
Suppliers
Customers
Our customers are at the heart of what we do and we go
out of our way to understand them, their needs and their
expectations. We are happy to share what we know about
the materials we use and how we work to reduce our impact
on the environment. We're still investigating how we can
improve this dialogue even further so that we can offer
solutions that both fit their everyday lives and also live up to
a responsible level.
Employees
Our employees are crucial for us to grow as a company. We
do what we can to create a workplace where people can
thrive, feel comfortable and have the opportunity to grow.
At the same time, we also think it's important that everyone
knows how their work contributes to achieving our common
goals. It means a lot to us that our employees are engaged
in the future of the company and proud to be a part of the
positive changes we are working towards.
In this ESG Report, we will share some concrete examples
of how we try to bring these values to life in our everyday
work. This includes things such as We Cycle To Work, small
competitions to save fuel or our Take-A-Walk Thursdays in
the spring, when we encourage people to have a chat with
colleagues from other departments. We believe that small
initiatives make a difference – both for our employees and for
the company as a whole.
Suppliers
We work closely with our suppliers as we know that the
majority of our emissions come from our supply chain (Scope
3). For this reason, we prefer to work with suppliers within the
EU, as they automatically have to comply with EU legislation,
and this gives us added assurance that the materials we resell
meet both the safety and quality requirements in place.
In addition, we are also constantly on the look-out for new
materials that have less impact on the environment so we
can improve our product range. This is a key focus area for
us, both now and in the future. In the following section (see
ESG Report 2023–2024
products) we will provide some insight into some of the
materials we have already introduced in our range that have
a lower environmental footprint by incorporating recyclable
materials into their production.
Through these approaches, we want to create a persistently
strong and long-term relationship with our key stakeholders
so that, together, we can work towards a more efficient
and targeted development both of our business and of the
processes we are involved in.
