Project Plan for the Introduction of Electric Lorries
2024 • We borrowed an electric lorry in order to gain practical experience of its use in day-to-day
operations. At the same time, we also began excavation work and preparations to establish sufficient power
supply capacity at our premises for the charging of electric lorries.
2025 • DinEl installed an electrical substation with a 400 A connection at our premises.
2026 • Charging infrastructure will be established so that electric lorries can be charged directly on site and
integrated efficiently into our daily logistics, and the purchase of our first electric lorry will be completed.
2027 and beyond • We will gradually replace the existing fleet until all lorries are fully electrified.
By implementing this long-term strategy, we aim to minimise our carbon emissions while simultaneously
maintaining stable and efficient operations. This project is an important step towards a more innovative and
responsible transport solution.
Freight by train from Southern Europe
We are continuing last year’s initiative to transport a larger share of our purchased goods by rail from
Southern Europe as part of our efforts to reduce carbon emissions in Scope 3. Rail transport is a loweremission solution compared with traditional road transport, as it allows larger volumes of goods to be
transported at a time with a significantly lower carbon footprint per unit. However, it also requires more
extensive coordination and planning in order to ensure that the logistics run smoothly.
It takes close cooperation with both suppliers and logistics partners in order to ensure that goods arrive on
time. Rail transport often involves longer delivery times and more complex route planning, but we see it as
an important investment in reducing our overall carbon footprint while also maintaining a high level of
delivery reliability.
In the future, we will continue working to further reduce the climate footprint of our freight transport. Among
other things, this will involve expanding the use of rail transport and continuously optimising our logistics
solutions so they become even more efficient.
