Materials with a Greater Focus on the Environment
Our products
At Riisfort, we are working to expand the number of products with a strong environmental focus, as this
concept is in sharp focus across many of the industries in which we operate. These include products that are
fully or partly made from recycled materials (e.g recycled plastic, leather and drink cartons), products with
®
certifications (FSC , PEFC, the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, OEKO-TEX, etc), and products with a greater focus on
natural raw materials (e.g veneered panels and linoleum).
It is therefore also important for us to continuously update our product range with materials that have a
lower carbon footprint. As a result, we are constantly on the lookout for such materials from our suppliers,
and we encourage everyone reading this to help us identify them.
We have already introduced a number of great materials into our product range, and we hope this will help
steer our sales in a direction that reduces our footprint further, while also maintaining a strong focus on both
quality and safety. Below are a few examples of materials in our range that are produced from recycled
materials:
Cohera
Cohera recycled leather is a flexible and
decorative surface material. The material is
primarily made from recycled European
leather from the automotive and footwear
industries, among other sources.
This is granulated and mixed with natural
latex, which gives the material the necessary
elasticity and binds the leather fibres
together, resulting in a flexible and
decorative surface material.
